1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Aspect Trust. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your relationship with Aspect Trust (“we,” “us,” “our,” “the Organization”), a non-profit organization registered in Bangladesh. By accessing our services, participating in our programs, volunteering, donating, or using our digital platforms, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our services.
2. About Aspect Trust
Aspect Trust is a legally registered, non-profit, voluntary, and non-political organization operating under the Social Welfare Act of Bangladesh. Our mission is to serve marginalized communities through inclusive programs in economic empowerment, healthcare, education, social justice, and emergency relief, guided by our core values of Integrity, Inclusion, Transparency, Partnership, and Impact.
3. Description of Services
Our services (“Services”) include, but are not limited to, the programs and initiatives described in our official reports, such as:
3.1 Economic Empowerment: Microfinance, Earned Wage Access (EWA), women’s livelihood training, vocational skills development, and supply chain development.
3.2 Health & Nutrition: Health Credit Programs, mobile clinics, nutrition support, and mental health services.
3.3 Education & Child Welfare: Scholarships, child sponsorship, and the development of libraries and research publications.
3.4 Social Services & Rights: Legal aid, digital inclusion programs, peacebuilding dialogues, and cultural activities.
3.5 Emergency Response & Infrastructure: Disaster relief, agricultural finance, WASH projects, and housing support.
3.6 Innovation & Future Readiness: Project Café Knowledge and AI-based program development.
3.7 Forestry & Environmental Sustainability: Community forestry and climate change mitigation projects.
4. Eligibility and Participation in Programs
4.1 Beneficiaries: Participation in our programs is based on eligibility criteria specific to each program (e.g., income level, geographic location, vulnerability status). All applicants must provide accurate and truthful information.
4.2 Financial Services: Access to microfinance, loans, and credit cards is subject to separate agreements and the terms and conditions of our partner banks and financial institutions. Aspect Trust facilitates access but does not act as a direct lender for all programs.
4.3 Volunteers: Individuals wishing to volunteer must complete an application process and agree to abide by our Volunteer Code of Conduct. Volunteers will receive training, official identification, and other benefits as outlined in the Volunteer Program. Participation is voluntary, though stipends may be provided.
5. User Conduct and Responsibilities
All users (beneficiaries, volunteers, partners, donors) agree to:
5.1 Engage with Aspect Trust, its staff, volunteers, and other beneficiaries with respect and integrity.
5.2 Use funds, resources, and training provided by Aspect Trust for their intended purpose.
5.3 Not engage in any activity that is illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to the Organization's reputation or mission.
5.4 Provide accurate information and promptly report any changes relevant to your participation in our programs.
6. Intellectual Property
All content created and distributed by Aspect Trust, including our name, logo, publications, research, newsletters, and branded materials for products (stationery, leather goods, household items), are the intellectual property of Aspect Trust. This content may not be used, reproduced, or distributed without our express written permission.
7. Testimonials and Media
By providing a testimonial, story, photograph, or video to Aspect Trust, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and distribute this content for promotional, reporting, and fundraising purposes. We will make reasonable efforts to obtain specific consent where practicable.
8. Third-Party Partnerships
Our work involves collaboration with government bodies, private sector partners (including banks), and civil society organizations. We are not responsible for the policies, actions, or services of these third parties. Any engagement with a third party, even if facilitated by us, is subject to that party’s own terms and conditions.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
9.1 No Guarantee of Outcome: While we are committed to driving change through evidence-based strategies, we do not guarantee specific personal, financial, or health outcomes for every individual participating in our programs.
9.2 "As-Is" Services: Our Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis.
9.3 Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aspect Trust, its Chairman, board members, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your participation in our programs or use of our Services.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, where Aspect Trust is legally registered and operates.
